Construction These mats are made of a unique 4 ply construction. The foam core is made up of 3 layers of foam to give maximum wear and comfort. The mat is then topped off with a hard wearing 3mm rubber layer soft but strong. Giving an average thickness of approx of 23mm making it a good strong mat (no chance of these being blown away in the wind!!) The mat is made from a top quality cross-linked closed cell foam which means that the foam does not absorb water but is still supportive and can be easily cleaned with disinfectant and can be dried with a quick shake and will not harbour fleas. At an extra cost the mats can be supplied with 10mm holes all the way through the mat every 100mm these are for ventilation increased softness and if the dog should soil its bed, urine will pass through the holes keeping the sleeping surface dry. Use The mats soften the traditional wooden bed providing a more comfortable environment for the dog Use of the mats would greatly reduce the need for conventional paper/straw bedding.
